Mr. Adkins joined Hager Construction in January of 2006. A carpenter by trade, Mr. Adkins has
18 years of experience in the construction industry including 11 years of field experience. Mr.
Adkins is currently responsible for estimating as well as project administrative activities
including project budgeting and scheduling, contract preparation, material purchasing,
submittal review and project invoicing. He also works closely with project superintendents on
daily construction activities and budgeting issues.

His project experience with Hager Construction LLC includes the construction of a new
3.5 million dollar Engineering Lab at Marshall University , 1.5 million dollars in additions and
alteration to the Tri State Transit Authority, new Cabell County EMS Stations #2 and #6, the new
2.3 million dollar DHHR Office Building in Williamson, WV, the new Crum PSD Office Facility, a
new addition to Eastbrook Elementary School , and renovations to the 3rd Floor of the Morrow
Library at Marshall University.

His prior experience includes project management duties with BBL-Carlton.
His project experience with BBLCarlton included the construction of a $23 million dollar single
“A” Baseball Stadium for the City of Charleston , a $14 million dollar Regional Medical Center for
the Huntington Internal Medicine Group, a $30 million dollar Maintenance Facility for the West
Virginia Army Reserve National Guard, an $8 million dollar residence hall for the University of
Charleston , an MRI addition & cardiac catheterization renovation for St. Francis Hospital ,
Security Enhancements for Verizon and a New Operations Center for United Bank.

Prior to his tenure with BBLCarlton, his experience includes construction management with
AMEC Construction Management, Inc., where he served as an architectural inspector on the
$146 million-dollar USP Big Sandy Prison Project. The project included the following:

  • 864-cell high-security facility, including 96 segregated cells
  • 128-bed minimum-security prison camp
  • Administrative buildings
  • Industrial facility and central utility plant
  • Remote mountainous site with complex geotechnical conditions
